Central Gauteng Athletics will be hosting a Valentine Women Day Challenge (women only) Track and Field meeting on the 10 February 2018 at Germiston Stadium.
This challenge is aimed at encouraging women participation and most importantly celebrating our women in the province. The programme will include motivational talks and addresses by different our elite and former athletes. This is the only for senior and junior women athletes. The prizes on the day will include: Best Dressed Athlete, Best Field event Athlete, Best Track event Athlete, Best dress official. The dress code will be red and white traditional and smart for technical Officials and athletes must be dressed in fancy red and white or running athletics gear. Runners must bring their permanent licenses and if they do not have a license, temporary licenses will be available at the gate. The speakers will include the likes of Geraldine Pillay, Selinah Metsing, and Phalula Twins Cornelia Joubert.
This meeting will count and be considered by the selectors as one of the qualifying meetings for selection to the ASA national championships.
Please note that the CGA Track and Field Youth, Junior and Senior Championships will be held on the 24 February 2018 at Germiston Stadium.
Herewith please find the attached updated Pre Entry Form, 2018 CGA Track and Field Fixtures, Programme for the 10 February- Valentine Women Challenge and 24 February- Provincial championships. We would appreciate if athletes can adhere to pre-entries request, especially for the Championships.
