The third 2010 Pick n Pay series hosted by Kagiso Striders Athletics Club was one of the best organized junior races that CGA has ever organized. Inspite of the industrial strike that had a major impact in getting the kids in numbers, CGA Development Department with the help of sponsors Pick n Pay, Communities and educators went all out in ensuring that this event becomes a success too.

As usual some of the Central Gauteng Athletics golden oldies with the likes of Bopang Phiri (who represented South Africa in the Olympics of 1992, 1996 and 2000), Zithulele Sinqe, Hendrick Ramalla, Sam Mlangeni and others came on board to support.

CGA TEAM FOR THE SA CROSS COUNTRY CHAMPIONSHIPS: 11^TH SEPTEMBER 2010

The President of Central Gauteng Athletics announced the names of the 384 athletes who will represent CGA at the South Africa Cross Country Championships to be held on the 11 September 2010 at Tshwane University of Technology, Pretoria Campus, Staatsartilerie Road, Pretoria.

The province will be sending a very strong team that will be representing the province and we will be expecting a lot of medals and team prizes from the team. Sibusiso Nzima the defending champion on the senior men category will be one of many top athletes to dominate at the championships.
